I'm I the Light of the World?
It is the words of Jesus Himself that declares it! However, I do not feel like much of a light! Why do I stumble so much? Why do I have trouble finding my own way in this existence of darkness? Why do I set out to do well only to awkwardly trip and falter like a child running fearfully lost trying to find his way home through a winding trail after dusk. The recognizable sounds of the day become spooky when the radiance of the day has passed! Yes, indeed, I can boast no great light!
What does Jesus mean when he says? (from the Sermon on the Mount)
Matthew 5:14 Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hid.

Christians are beacons of light to a very dark and sinful world. Those lost in sin need clarity to find their way to Christ, to safety and protection. Never take this responsibility lightly. Emit the light of Christ.
The fact is I have no light.
The fact is I have no light. If light is a fire, then I am a dead cinder! If light is the sun then I am an icy asteroid in the Kipper belt! If light is radiant energy flowing at 186K miles per second, then I am wandering in reverse without oomph! Surely, Jesus is making a mistake by calling me a light!
I know there exists great lights in the Gospel of heaven. The Bible speaks of Abraham and Moses, of Paul and Peter, of John the beloved and John the Baptist. Also, even the “lesser” lights, those saintly folks who have only a few words given in the Bible revealing their faithful overcoming, are far more obvious than I to receive this calling!
However, I am a born-again Christian, I know that my Lord says only what he means and means exactly what he says! I am a light.
I am a light! How is this possible?
John 1:9 That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world.
Eureka! This is it! I am not THE LIGHT in the meaning of being that true Light. That is Jesus! I am not called to be that true Light, only to carry that true Light with me in this darkened world. Being born-again means I carry the image of Christ in my body, mind and spirit. He lights up every part of the world I touch.

The Bible doesn't just show us the way to heaven, it shows us how to live while we are on our way to heaven. People are looking everywhere for instructions on how to live.There are millions of "How To.." books sold every year.Most of them are a case of the blind leading the blind. However, God's word has the direction you need for your life. You don't need to call 1-900-PSYCHIC! SOMETIMES WE DON’T WANT TO KNOW WHAT IT HAS TO SAY

Read very carefully what you quote!!!Thy WORD....the annointings words...Gods word...speaking directly to you...THAT! is the lamp! and the light! unto my path!!As I have mentioned earlier..you need no man,preacher,priest or guru etc to teach you.Jesus is the light unto all men.He is real! and he wants to teach you according to his own will.WE today run around looking for signs and wonders!!Jesus said do not believe when men say he is here or there....for the kingdom of God is in you."Be still and know I am the Lord".You are the temple,the indwelling of Gods presence.It is the kingdom in you(the light)that you go to,(within) to listen in silence (Silence o'you isle's for the lord is in his temple)for his annointing to teach you all things and he will not lie.....as men do today in their own expressions of what they think is the truth.No wonder there are 30,000+ sects today!!Who will you trust for the truth...yes,Jesus,the light himself and no other.When my eyes were opened to the truth I was shocked that hell will overflow with christian leaders since 2000yrs ago.My friends read well the bible but you will not change your life by studying it.The bible is a recorded word of Jesus and the martyrs lives etc...I beseech you brethren do not be like the pharasees again by dwelling in the written law of books or the bible trying to find the light in papers and books!But! go to he that owned the words for he is alive today! and well and speaking to you right now.He is the light that reasons with you everyday...but sadly we do not hear or learn to hear.Jesus is not in books.He is alive!!He wants to teach you himself!Open your ears and listen to his voice prompting you everyday not to do evil!!BE still and know I am the Lord!Thats mens problem today is that we cant keep still and let the lord lead..Be still and let God move..When you stand still God moves the world for your own benefit.Silence everyone,I say,silence and revere his mighty name.Amen.

WOW The comments are something on this hub. Truth said loud and clear. Jesus is the LIGHT We are to be lights for Jesus. He abides in us and we in HIM Children of God let the light of Jesus Christ shine in you. Let the lost know there is a way. Let them see you as a light for Jesus. In actions, words, deeds love others and share the good news of Salvation. Stand on the rock and be the light of Jesus Christ. In love and peace. In His name Jesus Christ.

It is so awesome to serve such an AWESOME and LOVING God!! More than any time in history Christian must and need to allow the light of Jesus Christ to shine as the world is getting darker and darker! Faithful, committed Christians are God's chosen vessels to use to influence and impact this world for His glory and to be bring healing, deliverance, and wholeness to a hurting and perverse generation! WE gotta be bold as lions! Love -- God's unconditional love (Light) covers a multitude of sins! Bring on the LIGHT!! Amen!

My friends,understand that this is the light which reasons with you everyday unto what is right and what is wrong.....but men rejected the light and loved darkness.The annointing that is in you will teach you all things!!the kingdom of God in you!!But you have only one teacher and that is the "christ" not!!!!another man!but Christ the "light" Himself to teach you!Think carefully you out there who call yourselves christians!!!!Jesus said that the kingdom of God is "within" not!!!"without" so brothers go "within" and in silence (Be still) seek His mercy whilst you can and stop!fretting about what false prophets are preaching today.The Lord will teach you Himself!!
