Fudgy Chocolate Pecan Pie -Yummy
When you plan another delicious, easy, and crowd pleasing dessert for your table, you might want to consider this chocolate delight. It combines the sensual, aromatic sweetness of fudge withthe ever pleasant pecan pie to make your guests salivate with desire, and you are king/queen for the day! I acquired this recipe from Deane Kelsey for one of our church cookbooks when we pastored in Newport, Tennessee. Our ladies there were some of the best "made from scratch" cooks of that area. There is nothing compared to home made cooking! At any rate, I hope you enjoy this recipe!
Ingredients:
- 1 (4 oz.) pkg. cooking chocolate
- 1/4 c. margarine
- 1 can Eagle Brand milk
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1/2 c. hot water
- 1/8 tsp. salt
- 1/2 chopped pecans
- 1 c. flaked coconut
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 (9-inch) deep dish unbaked pie shell
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350°.
- In heavy sauce pan melt margarine and chocolate.
- After melted, remove from heat.
- Combine chocolate mixture and condensed milk.Mix, mix, mix!
- Stir in eggs, hot water, vanilla and salt.Mix, mix mix!
- Add pecans and coconut.
- Mix and pour into unbaked pie shell.
- Bake 35-40 minutes.
