Very informative hub. Thank you for writing. ~ eddie
Obama, according to recent research, was connecteed with and worked for ACORN as far back as 1992. He was not a PAID or HIRED but there are documents and witnesses attesting to his training work and leading efforts. Obama is trying to make this go away. He lied during the last debate claiming he ONLY represented Acorn along with the Justice Department.
Great information well presented. I cannot believe ACORN was just given $4B by our President what with their track record. And they will use it to indoctrinate the "youth volunteers" for whom their "volunteering" will be mandatory. Thanks for putting out the truth.
ACORNs are the only nuts Obama has... Never thought I'd see a 21st century President make Jimmy Carter look like a saint! You know Obama is lieing if his lips are moving.
And I wish they'd go after the allegations made against them. Voter fraud, as practiced by both major parties, is patently unAmerican. Of course we also need to examine the allegations made against other organizations as well.
Informative hub. Thanks!
I'm a little late to the party, but I'd like to point out that ACORN had 13,000 paid canvassers in the last election cycle. You've named two voter registration fraud incidents in 2008. 2 out of 13,000 is pretty good.
This sort of voter registration fraud happens all the time, on both sides of the aisle. For example:
Your sources from Cleveland wrote of allegations there "Board employees said ACORN workers often handed in the same name on a number of voter registration cards, but showing that person living at different addresses. Other times, cards had the same name listed, but a different date of birth. Still another sign of possible fraud showed a number of people living at an address that turned out to be a restaurant."
But this again turns out to be voter registration fraud, not voter fraud and it seems that ACORN was equally defrauded by the people who provided bogus registrations as proof of work they did.
Few if any elections have even been stolen by people showing up to vote, each claiming their name is "Micky Mouse" but listing a set of different addresses. Nor do ballot boxes get stuffed by having a dozen "Donald Ducks" all show up and all claiming to be different voters because their birthdays are all different.
The conservative movement in the U.S. has long put barriers in front of certain citizens to block their voting, from "literacy tests" to "poll taxes" to demanding narrow and peculiar documentation to permit people to register.
It's also difficult for this populace to recognize that they simply got whipped at the polls, fair and square. It's much easier to believe in nefarious conspiracies behind their defeats, especially when rightwing news stories are full of bogus tales like the billions of dollars Obama provided ACORN.

Finally some clarity about ACORN. How come more people don't know this information??!! It almost makes me want to give up voting altogether.I do my best to contain my outrage, especially since I have little power over the Powers that be in DC. thanks.
